The patient satisfaction survey

Clinicify includes a short patient satisfaction survey in every clinic’s patient portal. The results are your evidence for the CQC Caring key question, and they appear on the CQC evidence dashboard.

How patients find it

Signed-in patients see a Give feedback card on the home page of your patient portal (“How was your experience with us?”). It opens Share your feedback. Patients need to be signed in to the portal to take part.

Clinicify doesn’t send the survey out automatically. Let patients know it’s there, for example by mentioning it at checkout or in your aftercare conversation.

What patients are asked

Patients rate each statement from 1 (very poor) to 5 (excellent):

SectionStatements
Your appointmentEase of making an appointment; Waiting time on the day; Welcome from reception
Your careThe clinician listened to me; Things were explained clearly; Treated with dignity and respect; Confidence in the clinician
OverallOverall satisfaction; Would recommend the clinic

Every statement is optional. A patient can skip any that don’t apply, as long as they rate at least one. There’s also an optional box: Anything else you’d like to tell us? (optional). They finish with Submit feedback.

How the scores are worked out

  • Each response gets an average of the statements the patient rated.
  • The Caring tile shows the average of all responses in the reporting window you’ve chosen, out of 5, with the number of responses.
  • The Patient feedback section shows the average for each statement, so you can see where you do well and where to improve.
  • Written comments appear under Comments in the same section, newest first, with the date and that response’s average score.

Anonymity

The survey tells patients their responses are anonymous to the clinic. Your team sees averages and the written comments, with no names. The dashboard doesn’t show which patient gave which rating or comment.

Good to know

  • Written comments are stored encrypted. The dashboard shows up to 50 of the most recent in the reporting window.
  • A patient can give feedback more than once, and each submission counts as a response.
  • The survey questions are fixed and can’t be edited.
  • Caring is scored only from the survey. Custom checks you link to Caring still appear in the per-check trends.
