Clinics outside England

Can I use Clinicify if my clinic isn’t in England?

Yes. Clinicify is available to clinics anywhere in the UK, and everything outside the CQC reporting works the same wherever you are: bookings, patient records, forms, treatment records, lab results, payments and messages.

Do checks work outside England?

Yes. Checks, staff compliance records and governance reports aren’t tied to any regulator. You choose which checks to run and can build your own, so you can match them to what your regulator expects. See How checks work.

What is England-only?

The CQC evidence dashboard. It groups your results under CQC’s five key questions (safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led) from the CQC Single Assessment Framework, which applies to clinics in England. The compliance screens also use CQC terms, such as the CQC domain option on a custom check.

Is reporting for my regulator coming?

Reporting built for Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW), Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) and the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) in Northern Ireland is on the way. Until then, your check records, trends and pass rates are still there, grouped by CQC key question.

Is the dashboard useful to me in the meantime?

The per-check trend graphs and pass rates show how consistently each check is done and whether readings stay in range, whatever your regulator. Treat the five key question tiles as a CQC view of that data rather than a view built for your regulator.

Are the record retention periods right for my nation?

The defaults (adult records kept 8 years after last treatment, children’s records to their 25th birthday, or 26th if they were 17 at last treatment) follow NHS records guidance, and the codes for each UK nation are broadly similar. As the data controller, your clinic confirms these periods. Owners can change them in Data & retention. See How long records are kept.
