Stop retyping lab reports
Blood results arrive as PDFs that somebody has to copy out by hand. Clinicify reads the report into a structured table, you check it and publish it, and the patient sees their results without ringing you.
A 57-marker Wellman Plus report is five panels across several pages. Somebody has to get every one of those values into the record, with its unit and its reference range.
That somebody is usually you, at eight in the evening, which is exactly when a slipped decimal point is most likely and matters most.
The expensive part of a blood test was never the test. It is the hour of careful, tedious copying, and copying is the only part of the job that does not need your expertise.
What changes
- No values are copied out by hand
Markers, values, units and reference ranges come out of the PDF into a table, with each panel kept separate and anything outside the range flagged.
- You check instead of type
Every extracted value carries a confidence figure and can be corrected in place, and the original PDF stays one click away, so review is reading rather than transcription.
- Patients can see their results are back
Publish, and the patient is told the results are ready. They read them in the portal, panel by panel, instead of ringing to ask whether anything has come through yet.
A normal day
- Wednesday, 8pm: typing 57 values out of a PDF
- Thursday: two calls asking whether results are in
- Friday: rechecking a number you are not sure you typed right
- Wednesday, 8pm: reading 57 values you did not type
- Thursday: the patient already knows they are in
- Friday: the original PDF is still on the record
What if it reads a number wrong
Nothing reaches a patient until a practitioner has reviewed it and published it. Every value carries a confidence figure and can be corrected before it goes anywhere, and the original PDF stays on the record for as long as the record does.
Clinicify extracts the numbers. Reading them is yours. The contents of the report are not kept by the AI provider.
