The video link arrives with the confirmation
Follow-ups and first consultations do not always need a room. Mark an appointment type as video, choose Zoom or Google Meet, and Clinicify creates the meeting when the patient books and puts the link in their confirmation.
Nobody avoids video consultations because the technology is hard. They avoid them because of the faff around the technology: make the meeting, find the link, paste it into an email, hope it arrived, take the call from the patient who cannot find it.
Take the faff out and it stops being a special kind of appointment. It is an appointment that happens to be on a screen.
What changes
- The meeting makes itself
A Zoom or Google Meet meeting is created the moment the patient books, on the practitioner's own connected account.
- The patient has the link immediately
It is in the confirmation email and in the calendar entry, which is where they will actually look for it on the day.
- Cancel, and the meeting goes with it
Cancelling the appointment removes the meeting, so you do not accumulate a list of meetings nobody will ever join.
Is it private, and what if it fails
Zoom meetings are created with the waiting room on, and meeting titles never carry patient details.
If a link cannot be created at the moment of booking, the booking still goes through. Clinicify tries again and emails the patient the link once it exists. The patient only ever gets the tool you chose.
The detail, briefly
- Appointment types are in person or video, with an explicit choice of Zoom or Google Meet
- Google Meet through the practitioner's Google Calendar connection
- Zoom through the practitioner's Zoom connection, with the waiting room on and no patient details in the topic
- The join link in the confirmation email
- A retry, and a follow-up email, if the meeting cannot be created at booking
- Cancelling the appointment removes the meeting
