Upgrade or downgrade your plan

Change plan when you need more seats or patient records, or when a smaller plan would do. Every change is shown to you on a secure Stripe page, with the cost, before it happens.

Before you start

  • Only the clinic owner can change the plan.
  • You need an active subscription. If you’re still on your free trial, see Choose a plan.

Steps

  1. Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and select Billing.
  2. Make sure Monthly or Annual matches how you pay now. Your current plan is marked Current.
  3. On the plan you want, select Switch to this plan.
  4. Stripe shows you the change and what you’ll pay. Check it and confirm.
  5. You’re taken back to the Billing page.

What happens next

Upgrades

An upgrade applies straight away. You pay the difference for the rest of your current billing period, and the extra seats and patient records are available immediately.

Downgrades

A downgrade applies at your next renewal, and nothing is charged today. Until then you keep your current plan. The Current subscription card shows a reminder, for example “Changing to Solo (monthly) on 1 November 2026”.

Good to know

  • You can’t move to a plan that’s smaller than what you use now. It shows Not enough capacity. To downgrade, first reduce your team to fit, for example by removing practitioners you no longer need. Patient records can’t be reduced this way, because every patient on your record counts.
  • Receptionists don’t use a seat, so they never stop you moving to a smaller plan.
  • If you’re on annual billing, moving up a plan keeps you on annual billing. The monthly version of a bigger plan shows Stay on annual. See Switch between monthly and annual billing.
  • If you leave the Stripe page without confirming, nothing changes.
  • Every plan has every feature, so changing plan never removes a feature.
