My text message code hasn’t arrived

Why it happens: Texts can take a minute, especially with a weak signal. Codes are only sent to UK mobile numbers.

What to do:

  • Wait a minute, then select Resend code on the Verify it’s you screen. You can ask for a new code every 30 seconds. If you ask sooner, you’ll see a message telling you how many seconds to wait.
  • Check the last three digits shown on screen match your phone. If they don’t, your codes are going to an old number. Ask a clinic owner or contact support.

It says my code is wrong or has expired

Why it happens: Each code lasts 10 minutes, and only the newest code works. Asking for a new code cancels the old one.

What to do:

  • That code isn’t right. Try again.: check the digits and enter the code from your most recent text.
  • That code has expired - request a new one.: select Resend code.
  • Too many attempts - request a new code.: after 5 wrong tries the code stops working. Select Resend code and use the new one.

I’m asked for a code every time I sign in

Why it happens: Clinicify only skips the code on a device you’ve chosen to trust. Trust ends after 30 days, when you clear your browser’s cookies, or when you use a different browser. Your clinic may also have turned off trusted devices.

What to do: Tick Always trust this device next time you enter a code. If you don’t see that option, your clinic owner has turned it off, and you’ll be asked every time. See Remembering a trusted device.

I’ve lost my phone or changed my number

Why it happens: Your codes go to the number you verified when you set up two-step verification.

What to do: If you can still sign in on a trusted device, go to Settings > Your preferences > Security, select Manage MFA →, turn MFA off, and set it up again with your new number. If your clinic requires MFA, an owner needs to switch that off first under Settings > Team & access > Security. If you can’t get in at all, contact support.

I’m sent straight to a setup page when I sign in

Why it happens: Your clinic requires two-step verification for all staff, and you haven’t set it up yet.

What to do: Enter your UK mobile number, select Send code, then enter the code. See Set up two-step verification.

I see “subscription has ended” or “is not available at the moment”

Why it happens: Your clinic’s trial or subscription has ended, or its account has been paused. Owners are taken to the billing page to fix it. Everyone else sees this page instead.

What to do: If you’re the owner, choose a plan on the billing page. If not, ask your clinic owner to renew, then refresh the page. See What happens when your trial ends.

It says my invitation has expired

Why it happens: Invitations to join a clinic last 7 days.

What to do: Ask the clinic’s owner to select Resend invitation in their team settings, then use the link in the new email. See Invite a team member.

I accepted an invitation but I’m not in the clinic

Why it happens: Invitations are matched to the email address they were sent to. Also, an account can only belong to one clinic at the moment, so if yours already does, you’ll see You’ve been invited to join and the clinic’s name, and you stay where you are.

What to do: Sign in with the invited address. If your account already belongs to another clinic, ask the inviting clinic to invite a different address.

It says “You no longer have access”

Why it happens: A clinic owner has removed you from the team.

What to do: If you think it’s a mistake, contact the clinic’s owner.
