Connect Stripe to take payments

Clinicify takes patient payments through your clinic’s own Stripe account. Once it’s connected, patients can pay booking fees when they book online, and you can send payment links for treatment balances and charge no-show fees.
Before you start
- Only the clinic owner can connect Stripe.
- Have your business details, identity documents and bank account to hand. Stripe asks for these during setup.
- The Stripe account is set up as a UK account.
Steps
- Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and select Clinic settings.
- Under Integrations, select Stripe.
- Select Connect Stripe. You’re taken to Stripe’s own secure setup pages.
- Follow Stripe’s steps to add your business details, verify your identity and add the bank account for payouts.
- When you finish, Stripe sends you back to Clinicify and you’ll see Stripe connected.
What happens next
The Patient payments card shows three status lines:
- Card payments enabled
- Payouts to your bank enabled
- Stripe details submitted
A tick means Stripe has approved that part. If Stripe still needs something from you, you’ll see “Your Stripe onboarding isn’t finished - complete it to start taking payments.” Select Finish setup to go back to Stripe and complete it.
Once Card payments enabled is ticked, booking fees are collected on your online booking page and Take payment works on your appointments.
Good to know
- Payments go straight into your Stripe account. Your clinic is the merchant, so patients see your clinic on their card statement.
- Clinicify takes no percentage of your patient payments. Stripe’s own processing fees apply to your Stripe account.
- Patients can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Apple Pay and Google Pay appear when the patient’s device supports them.
- Select Open Stripe dashboard to see payouts, disputes and your full payment history in Stripe.
- Disconnect stops your clinic taking payments through Clinicify until you reconnect. Your Stripe account and its data aren’t affected.
